- The SHCP (Ministry of Finance and Public Credit) authorized the merger between Bancrecer and Banorte, with Bancrecer being the merging company and Banorte the merged company, changing the name of the merging company to Banco Mercantil del Norte, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple, Grupo Financiero Banorte (Banorte).
