From "Contrata" section in Banorte Móvil, it is no longer required that customers visit a branch to request a credit card; they can now apply and receive the card at their desired location.

Mexico City, October 7th, 2019. Aligned with its innovation track record, Banorte launched today its "Contrata" functionality in Banorte Móvil. Becoming the first bank to enable its customers to fully request and get a new credit card directly through their mobile phones.
Banorte offers this functionality to all of its customers, through Banorte’s mobile app. Customers will now be able to apply and get a credit card, whenever they want, and wherever they are located, through a quick and easy process.

Once logged-in to Banorte Móvil, customers must select the “Contrata” option in the main menu. Select the option credit card, and then the system will request confirmation of personal information and customer documents. Once these requirements have been successfully met, the system runs a real-time credit approval process to authorize a credit line.
The system allows the customer to choose from Banorte’s credit card portfolio, and determine which one is the best fit according to his/her profile. Customers only need to select the most suitable card, and it will be sent to his/her preferred address or to a specified branch. Customers will also be able to track the delivery status from the option “Credit card tracking”, on their mobile app.
The approval process used in Banorte Móvil is the same as the one used when the card is requested at a branch, therefore the result will be the same.
For security purposes, customers whose government issued ID or proof of address is not updated will need to visit a branch to provide updated information. Immediately after it has been updated, they will be able to fully complete the process through their mobile app.
Banorte’s "Contrata" functionality is the newest addition to the more than 50 functionalities offered today to simplify the lives of its customers. Unlike other apps in the market such as pre-approved loans through mobile apps, Banorte is the first bank to bring the possibility for all of its customers to apply and get a credit card, in real time, from their cell phones.
